Being a NM(Network Marketer) can be extremely hard and trying during your first year. There will be several instances where you desire to quit and just throw in the towel. However, this is the time when you need to go the hardest and keep striving. This year will allow you to learn what you are best at and what things may or may not work when marketing your business. So I briefly wanted to cover how to overcome those desires to quit and be successful in your first year. This is not solely about financial success but mental success!!!
- Set Goals -- Take time to set some goals for the year, write them down and continuously work on accomplishing them. You cannot remember everything that needs to be accomplished so writing things down is a great way to keep these things in front of you and ensure that you accomplish them.
- Read, Read, Read -- Although cliche we’ve all heard Knowledge is Power. So read as much as you gain to expand your knowledge about your business and marketing in general. No you won’t learn everything necessary during this 1st year but it’s best to do as much as you can. My personal tip is to set a goal to read at least 1 book a month.
- Apply your knowledge -- Obtaining knowledge is great but without application it will take you NOWHERE!!!! Ensure that you take notes and apply what you have gained to your business.
- Get a reliability partner -- This has been one of the most vital components to my success during my first. Having someone in either the same business or just the NM field in general to hold you accountable will help you stay on track. They motivate, encourage, and check on you to ensure you are still working on the goals you have set. Do knock it and think you have to do it all alone because you don't!!!!
Trust me there are many other things that you can and should be doing during this first year but I just wanted to give you an insight to what I have tried and experienced over the past year. Always keep in mind that we Fail due to lack of knowledge and not having a plan!!!!!
